1922 cultured pearl necklace with a bone clasp

by Michele Scarberry
(Hesperia, CA)

I received a string of pearls from my grandmother with a note that the pearls were cultured and brought from Japan in 1922 by my great-great Aunt. I recall seeing a picture of her wearing them on her wedding day. They are slightly yellow in color, small and have a bone clasp.

My grandmother originally had it as a double string but had it made into 2 strings, one for me and one for my aunt back in 1982. I can't find any reference to a Japanese pearl necklaces on line with a bone clasp. Do you have any information that would help me determine their value?
