1930s Diamond Ring

I have a ring that is believed to be from the 30s. It's a circular diamond surrounded by 12 smaller diamonds and has the numbers 9725 or 0725 inside the band (difficult to tell first digit as it's worn away). Any chance someone knows what these numbers mean?
