Pearls, Platinum and Diamonds
by: Yvonne Hammouda-Eyre

Dear Pete & Isabel

as Kari mentioned, what a combination, pearls, platinum and diamonds! You can't beat it! This ring reminds me of a pearl ring that my mother-in-law gave me. She purchased it in paris in the 40s. The pearl is surrounded by sparkling diamonds in a platinum coronet style setting and the pearl is a high quality creamy white akoya pearl.

Thank you for sharing!

Great combination
by: Kari

Hello Isabel & Pete,

Platinum, diamonds and a pearl, now that's a great combination!

Firstly, are you 100% sure that the pearl is a natural pearl? It's an extraordinary pearl, round, white and large. (I think you meant 1cm instead of 1mm, right?) Natural pearls of that caliber are extremely rare. For starters I suggest you having the pearl tested at the GIA to verify it.

After you have certified proof of the type of pearl, then it will be much easier to put a value on your lovely ring.
