Selling a strand of real pearls

I own a 16-inch strand of authenticated and x-ray verified natural pearls, bought from Tiffany in NYC around 1900. They are graduated with perfect symmetry and hold an amazing lustre. Due to economic hardship, I am reluctantly considering sale. How and where can I get value for something this rare? So few can appreciate and afford the real thing. Why bother when cultured look the same, I have been told.
