Vintage Hallmarks | Purse Frame

I have a vintage purse frame from my grandmother (I'm 60) that has a hallmark on the inside edge which is:

S six pointed star H

I've tried to research it myself on the internet but haven't been able yet to find anything close. If you have any information that would be really great! Thanks!

I might be able to get a digital photo of it in about a week if necessary.
