I answered earlier in this thread. But will answer again, due to so many with the same question
STS is a legitimate makers mark.
Their jewelry is often sold thru Liquidation Channel and JTV channels based in Austin Texas Often part of the Chuck Clemency projects but not always. They also had other major jewelers named pieces like Guisseppi
The stones usually are real mined stones Some of the inexpensive pieces had stones that were advertised as lab made. So it depends which class of gemstone pieces were bought by the buyer.
The Jewelry is legit. . They also had another tier of jewelry which had genuine stones in sterling or gold covered brass...they were also sold on the same channels and advertised as over brass...in a collection known as Karis .
I hope this info helps.

STS 925 Ring by: Anonymous
STS is the Makers mark , the following marking is the metal purity 925, 10k, 14k etc. But as it is with anything the markings don't always reflect the truth, if you are unsure have it tested, and an easy way would be going to a pawn shop and "see what you can get for it" Pawn shops don't tend to want to buy fake stuff.

Had Chuck Clemancy Ring Tested by Jeweler by: Anonymous
Took this ring to my jeweler of 50 years, and he found the material under the 14kt gold plating was brass only. This ring did have the 925 mark as well.

STS "L" by: Anonymous
I have a vintage silver ring, styled to look like bamboo, opal center. It is signed both "STS" on one end and "L" on the other. Does this mean anything?

925 STS - Stainless Steel? by: Anonymous
I see comments saying this STS is a real company, then could you please identify what the name of the company is obviously "S"=name "T"=Name "S"=Name My thinking is STS is for Stainless Steel being passed of as Sterling silver from many countries. Possibly even US businesses.

There are so little reviews on this company, I cannot verify whether this business is bona fide or a scam. Repeated attempt to contact this jeweller have failed I would avoid the products of this jeweller

STS stamped Jewelry Are REAL Pieces by: Anonymous
STS stamped on any ring band or any piece of jewelry means it was created by an STS Jewelry company which has it's headquarters on Austin Texas. They are quite reputable and have been in business a very long time. They are most well known for making affordable prices real pieces of color genuine gemstone jewelry. The STS mark is simply their jewelry company stamp and does Not reflect what the piece contains metal wise.
You must use the second stamp to determine the metal type. They are well known to make 14k gold 10 kt. Gold 14kt rose gold 10kt rise gold14 kt white gold and 10 kt white gold.
They also make many pieces stamped .925 which are actually platinum over .925 nickel free fine Sterling silver and those have high luster and do not tarnish or cause allergies like some Sterling can. They are a reputable company and I personally do not work for them but I do own quite a few lovely pieces they made! Rest tight you weren't drained or taken.

STS on 10k ring by: Anonymous
if you are certain it's solid 10k white gold, and not STerling Silver plated in 10k gold, it's probably the initials of the firm or individual who made the piece.
