14k ring with 3 x’s?

I have a Ring To be white Gold 14k with on the inside Of the band the 14k mark with 3 X’s I really would like to know more about it

not sure about the three x's (try SiteSearch on Antique Jewelry Investor's navigation bar) but W sideways that looks like an M sideways is the maker JOHN R. WOOD & SONS who joined with LENOX, Inc. in 1970, the mark is mostly found on Gold Rings. JOHN R. WOOD & SONS are Manufacturing Jewelers, located in New York, NY, USA ca 1850 - 1970

is the x mark in an oval? An X in an oval is a UK mark on sterling silver on IMPORTED items ca 1904 - Present.
