Donald Simpson brooches

I have several Simpson brooches. a friend gave me some brooches that belonged to her Mum and I discovered that three of them have the Simpson mark. I have bought 6 from antiques stores and one from a church fete. Church fete was the cheapest at $10.00. Had that one for several years before I found out about Simpson Jewelry as collectable. I love the colours and the design of them all.

Resubmitt your submission and add a photo and add more details, for example, the dimensions, the colour, markings, how you came across Donald Sterling Brooch - i.e. did you inherit the brooch from a family member, or find it at a flea market, or buy it at an online auction, or whatever... we would love to know...
Is it worn much? And what is it that attracted you to this piece, what do you like about it ? Tell vistors about the colour, the design, what made you want to have it for yorself? These details will help to establish a base-line for selling purposes and also be of great interest to collectors or anyone interested in buying.

Best Regards
Yvonne

Donald Simpson Australia

Donald Simpson was an iconic Australian designer. You can see some of his work in an advertisement in the Sydney Morniing Herald from 1964. The web page for the article is below.

No Donald Simpson Brooch Here
by: Anonymous

Hi Linda

well as a matter of fact, I also have a vintage costume jewelry brooch marked, SIMPSON JLRY . PTY. LTD

No "adele" - The Simpson mark is in a raised rectangular plaque with rounded corners and the Letter S is stylized.

I purchased this brooch from New Zealand.

It measures 5 cm across, -- my Simpson brooch is also prong set with clear rhinestones and the settings from the reverse look as beautiful as the Front.

No Donald Simpson here.

Simone
