Actually found out about the maker!

Thanks to your wonderful website we have discovered the ring is 1901 (we Think) made in Birmingham with the makers mark A&W. Can't find who they are, so thought I could ask here and see what happened!! It's a gold wedding band. Both the small b s for Birmingham are similar for 1797 and 1901 but I think 1901 is much more likely!! many thanks
