Antique Hallmarked Ring, 925 for Sterling & Overlapping VV for ?

by Meredith
(Las Vegas)

What is the item?

An Antique Sterling with Black Champleve Enameling and a Red Carnelian Cabochon Ornate Ring.

Can you please provide all background information? Estate Purchase, no actual Provenance known.

What are the markings?
not on the lower portion but, closer to the gallery, markings on both sides. On one side '925TH' (connected) and not connected on the opposite side is 925 again and overlapping V's. The ring is quite ornate and has more of a European appearance than that of the USA.

I'd really love to know who this maker is..it is VIP for my customers. I have been studying jewelry for over 30 years and been published about my expertise in jewelry (or rather obsession...hehe) and sterling hallmarks are still very tough for me.

Your help will be greatly appreciated and I'd be happy to get info on how I might be of service sometimes, if you need someone, you are welcome to contact me for more details. I hope that is appropriate to offer my help.

Where are the markings?
as stated above.

Thanks again, I do not have a photo but, I believe that it should be enough for an expert to recognize. If it is necessary, please let me know and I will take a picture as soon as possible.
