Authentic Art Deco Rope Length Pearls
by: Anonymous

Good Morning Britney

yes indeed - authentic flapper pearls of the 1920s. - they would be imitiation pearls which is perfectly in keeping. Long ropes of pearls were at the height of fashion in the 1920s. Pearl lengths that are 37 inches and longer are called a Pearl ROPE. The flapper style consisted of loose dresses, breezy skirts and low cut tops. And flapper girls loved pearls.

The flapper fashion style is a staple costume at halloween parties. But pearl ropes can still be worn in a variety of ways today and can look fashionable.
A new way to wear a pearl rope is knotted and slung over the shoulder to accentuate a backless dress.

Thank you for writing into us.
Yours,
Yvonne
