Byzantine Gold Chain

I have a gold chain that I bought in Scotland years ago at an antique shop. I know that doesn't mean it's an authentic antique.

It is a Byzantine gold chain, marked 750 and on the other side of the clasp is a lozenge with a (star 1 AD or perhaps AP). I assume the star means it was made after 1968, but don't really know.

On the other part of the clasp is a lozenge (well I'm calling it that) but what it really looks like is 2 horse shoes put open side end to end with a very faint name inside. What I can make out appears to be NOAERRE or possibly NOAFRRE.

Is there anything you can tell me about my chain?
