Curious mark on a gold wedding band

I have an old yellow gold? wedding ring, which has

on the inside of the band marks as follows (each in a hexagonal stamp)

C
followed by a Star,
followed by a Celtic Cross,
ending with a W

No other marks - any ideas? I know it is a very old ring
