grandmas legacy - earrings

by Karen Dunk
(York)

When my mother died 4 years ago i inherited all her jewellery amongst which was a box with some pearl earings. mum said they were her mothers/grandmothers. One pair is i think silver screw ins with a deep golden pearl about 9mm in size, the other pair is 9ct gold screw ins and a soft creamy yellow and about 14-16 mm, there is also another pair of 9ct gold but with i think diamonds in, these are also screw in, mum never wore them she said they were too precious and she believed they were valuable, i have never worn them in case they are and i lose them.

What do you think and should i get them valued?

yours in anticipation Karen Dunk
