Heart stamp
by: Anonymous

I have a 9k yellow gold ring shaped with a belt buckle. There is a heart stamp inside divided in 4 segment. Bottom right is an "M", top left seems n. 43. Any idea? Thanks

Amethyst ring with heart stamp J.M
by: Anonymous

Hi there,

I have an amethyst ring on a 9c gold band with the same heart stamp divided into four with J on the top left and M on the bottom right.

I am really interested in finding out more about the ring and after searching thoroughly on the internet this was the only form I could find where someone had described exactly what was stamped on my ring.

If anyone has found out any more information about their stamps if they could comment here!

Heart Hallmark
by: Anonymous

I have a 9ct yellow gold pearl solitaire ring. The hall marks are a heart divided into 4 with a J to left corner and an M bottom right. The j and m are script. The other hallmarks are '9 375 m' and the Assay mark of London. I understand m is for 1967. It's a modern, sleek 1960s design, very angular.

Can you help identify the the heart shaped makers mark?

Adding to the conversation
by: Jaffa

Did we end up figuring out what this hallmark means? My Grampa gave me his wedding ring a few months ago with the hallmark described previously in this conversation. I'm intrigued at what this could possibly mean and my curiosity is driven further by knowing that this hallmark isn't unique in design after searching the web with no luck for quite some time now.

A Heart is a Heart of Course Not!
by: Anonymous

Hi there

OK so you expect to get a definitive answer without even as much as a photo of the jewelry mark? Do you have any idea how many jewelry manufacturers use a heart shape?

What's the problem with sending in a photo of the mark?

why so many questions
by: Anonymous

How many times do they need it described or a pic sent. you can see the heart divided into 4 sections with J and M in the heart. It seems that they dont know for sure, they are asking too many questions and asking too many times for pics.

An Image of HEART Mark Will Make Our Heart SING :-)
by: Anonymous

OK. There is a JM maker in heart that I can see, but we need to see the mark sir. Is it possible to see the heart mark? It is easy to attach an image in a follow-up submission.

We understand that visitors who are selling their jewelry, may wish ( the jewelry ) to remain anonymous, but a photo of at least the mark will help to determine the hallmark :-)

It is Easy to Upload an Image on Antique Jewelry Investor, ( you can upload up to Four) at the same time when submitting your hallmark question. Just upload an image of the actual mark itself, (if you are selling the ring).

Please Type "Heart Hallmark On Ring -FOLLOW-UP" in subject heading. Thank You.

Best Wishes,

Yvonne

Heart Hallmark on Ring

Did you find the source of this hallmark? I have a ring with the same hallmark dating from 1966 and I would love to know what/who the heart with J and M represents. Thanks.

heart hallmark on ring
by: Anonymous

Hi, Not got pic as yet - am happy so sort it asap
It doesn't look engraved - more like a stamp. The heart is separated into 4 sections with a cross and the top left is J. Which may have been engraved as it looks script. And the bottom right is M. I took it to a jewellers but felt a bit cheeky asking for info without paying anything! They confirmed it was 9 karat and was made in 1967. It is a wedding band and on the outside has sets of 3 kisses run up from top to bottom at various intervals around it. Hope this helps for now! xxx

Heart symbol inside ring band.
by: Anonymous

Hi Perida thanks for writing in to us with the following question:

"Hi, My mum was given a ring with a hallmark of a heart with the letter J and M in different sections of the heart. Could you tell me who made it? Thanks x"

Perida

is the mark an engraving or stamped? Are the letters in script?
Do you know what the metal is? What color is the metal? Have you any idea how old the ring is? If you like you could attach a photo of the ring in a follow-up submission.

Please could you use "heart hallmark on ring" in title, it makes it a lot easier this end.

best wishes
