"Imperial Pearls"

Imperial pearls v Marvella Pearls? Were your "Imperial Pearls" purchased from the Imperial Pearl Company in Hatton Garden in London?
http://imperialpearlcompany.co.uk

Its unclear. I mean how do you know one of them are "Imperial Pearls"? Is there a mark on the clasp or something else? To even attempt to answer the question you need to know exactly what you are comparing!

Marvella Pearls are synthetic pearls. The company specialized in simulated pearls of such high quality that a Marvella Pearl Brooch, Marvella Pearl Necklace and Marvella Bracelet set was featured in Vogue in 1945.

That doesnt necessarlity mean your Marvella pearls are expensive pearls though. I bought a pair of Marvella screw back earrings recently for $10!

Good Luck!

What are the real pearls?

Put a pearl between your teeth and bite very gently. If the pearl feels rough like a pebble is this the real pearl. It it feels a bit soft, plastic-like then that's a Marvella necklace.
Good luck!
