I have the same hallmarks!
by: GR

I have this exact same sequence of hallmark. Have you found out what the last letter is? I've guessed that it's a 'k' circa 1884. But thats much older than I thought it would be!

LEN HALLMARK
by: Anonymous

Hi! I also have bought a LEN hallmarks ring in Gold. Hallmarks are LEN 9 375 anchor, then a faint symbol that looks like an M with a cross through it. If you find out about LEN, let me know! Thanks!

looks to me like a sterling silver article which has been hallmarked in Brimingham. the LEN is the sponsors mark....the initials of the firm who made it. If you contact Brimingham assay office they will be able to tell you who that was. The U is the date letter, and again the BAO will be able to date that for you.

Silver Ring | LEN Hallmarks
by: Anonymous

Hi Hattie, that looks like an interesting thrift shop find! Isn't the design on the band fascinating! Has it been resized do you think or are my eyes playing tricks on me again. Is that a solder seam I can just see center left front.

Whatever the initials turn out to be, the ring must be silver as the Lion passant guardant or Britannia certifies the silver quality. Regards Lucy
