Mikimotos signature is the letter M in a clam shell. You mention the clasp is not made of ss? Sterling Silver? A photo would be great.

My grandmother left me 43cm strand of ? Mikimoto cultured pearls they are cream colour and havea silver clasp but its not ss they come in black velvet box with saten on inside can you please tell me if they are mikimoto please

I believe you would like to know how the Mikimoto pearls are attached to the clasp. The pearls are strung on silk cord and the cord is fed through small opening on the clasp and then fed back through the last few pearls and knotted.
