5hst marking on bracelet
by: Anonymous

Hello,
I have found a bracelet that is very similar to your bracelet with the exact same markings. I am having a really hard time finding information on whom made these bracelets. Mine is all 18k and handmade, confirmed by a jewler. But these markings are a mystery. Your posting on this is the only one I have found on the Internet 5hst matches exactly to my bracelet.
Thank you for any information you can share.
Best,
Celine.

FAKE
by: Anonymous

I am very sorry, but I have found a German website where you can read all about these fake pieces of jewelry. They refer to it as "autobahngold" Highwaygold. They explain the differences between the real gold marks en the fake ones. With pictures of bracelets, marks everything.

http://www.autobahngold.de/

They also have the pages in English !

I once purchased one on a fleemarket (knowing it wasn't gold by far) just because is looked like a real 10.000 .... gold thing.

From Holland, with regards,
Els

Roman mythology and Gold Mark
by: Anonymous

Hi Lynne, if AUTHENTIC and with good weight and at 18 carat gold, no wonder you're afraid of wearing this bracelet, especially if it hasn't got a safety chain. The male part of the V clasp decompresses overtime and can slide out of the female part easily. If you haven't got a safety chain you may not even notice if it falls off till you get back home and suddenly realize it's missing from your wrist!

Roman mythology and gold marks share a common denominator. A profile of a male head facing left has been used on French EXPORT 750% from 1838 until present. It is actually the god - MERCURY. In Roman mythology Mercury was a messenger and a trade, profit and commerce.
