Scottish Rite Ring, Whats my Hallmark?

Hello I’m a Mason and I bought this 32 Degree Scottish Rite ring at an estate sale, the band is 10kt and the white gold upper is 14kt. On the band the word GOTHIC 14KT then there is an (*) asterisk or star symbol, the white gold has a stamp of 14KT very faint with some shadowy letters underneath tried 10x, 20x, but could not read.

I believe GOTHIC refers to Kinsley & Sons Inc. but have never seen the (*) asterisk or star symbol after the percentage mark. So what do you think my dear Sherlock?
