A photo of the mark will help a great deal, as already mentioned, there are several overlapping TC marks on metals.

Hi Yvonne, I am also researching the T&C mark on an old white gold, pen/pendant. I think it may have been purchased in SanFran area by my husband's late aunt and uncle.I have asked a friend with a very good camera to try and photo the hallmark and piece.

the problem is that there are quite a number of TC initial marks that overlap :(
We need to SEE the initial marks before we can proceed any further. You are very welcome to upload a photo of the marks in a follow-up submission. I will move the photo to your original post here. Try to get as close-up as possible to the markings while staying in -focus.
