Hugs and Kisses Bracelet
by: Yvonne

Maharba,
Thanks for reaching out Lisa, so glad you found us!;

This Italian Bracelet from Arezzo is a two tone 14k "Hugs and Kisses" or "X and O" link bracelet.

Look at each link. You see two loops that interlock like an X, and two loops that close like an O. Gold and white gold alternating.
It was very popular in Italy in the 1970s to 1990s, especially from Arezzo. Arezzo was the heart of Italian hollow gold production after 1968.

Meta marker 14k or 585 and not `750` means it was made for the export market Italy did export 14k for the US market even after 1968.

Look at the Arezzo hallmark inside the clasp or on an end cap & you should find `585` + `AR` + a maker number in a lozenge. Example: `123 AR`.

The construction is hollow, so it looks chunky but wears light. That’s classic Arezzo 1970s work.

The Clasp is a big lobster clasp and is correct for the period. Many were replaced later, so the original is a plus.

Lisa the Bracelet is collectible for the link style, not the gold weight. The "Hugs and Kisses" name is what buyers search for.

With care
