It tested at least 18k - I have no way of testing any higher. It is very soft and very yellow, so I am wondering if it may be 22 or 23. It doesnt look like a cat, it looks like a goat, horse?? Something with long straight legs.

Hi Angela are you certain it is solid gold and not gold plated? The national mark for Egypt was a cat figure until 1946 when it was replaced by a Lotus flower. Arabic language is the official language of Egypt and letters and control marks on Egyptian Jewelry will be in arabic writing.
