GIA Pearl Test
by: Anonymous

Anna thank you for sending through the photos of the strand of pearls. Very nice! You will need to contact GIA who can authenticate the pearls as natural.

All the best with the museum. Sounds fascinating!

best wishes

Natural Pearls & Jewel of the Month
by: Anonymous

Hi Anna

how fascinating! Yes, of course your pearls are worth something Especially if they are Natural pearls. That means Not nucleated by man. Have they been authenticated? They usually have to x-ray pearls, unless you have something in writing to attest to their provenance or source of ownership.

Anna do you have any photos of the pearls? Are they knotted in between each pearl? How many pearls in the strand? How big are the pearls? What color?

Anyone who promotes awareness of reef and ocean conservation I am only too pleased to help out!

If you can come back to me with the above information and good close up shots of the pearls, providing of course they are natural and in good condition, I would be only to pleased to advertise them for you on Jewel of the Month next month.

You can send the photos to:

best wishes,
