Vintage Ruby and Sapphire Pin Gold Hallmark?

I have a vintage pin with the following hallmark on a tab in the back: GW in a rounded rectangle with 14K beneath it.

It is stamped on a tiny tag attached to the back of the pin. It consists of GW enclosed in a box that looks something like this: (_). I'd appreciate knowing what the GW means.

There are 6 rubies and 7 sapphires. It measures 2" in height and 1 1/2" in width. The pin closes with a locking mechanism for security.

Any information you can give me will be greatly appreciated, including country of origin and an approximate value of the pin.
