K mark on Ring
by:

Check the ring size. If it is 5 1/2 US the letter K could be the size.
Letters are usually used for British made ring sizes, however many pieces made in United States have jewelry markings and hallmarks VERY similar to British hallmarks. Jewelry Manufacturers in the United States, often imitated or followed Britain's example.

W in Pennant Triangle
by: Yvonne

Hi Diane
the ring is art deco style, it looks like a transitional piece, you can see glimpses of the style elements of the proceeding era which was art nouveau, in the curvilinear style, the setting and the cut of the onyx. White gold and platinum were popular and so was onyx during the art deco period.

You can find more information and art deco jewelry identification tips here.

W in a pennant triangle was the trade mark used around the 1920s by J. J. White Mfg. Co. 144 Pine St. Providence, R. I.

Here is another piece by the same manufacturer that I thought you might find interesting as it features a black onyx like in your ring.

thanks for writing to us..
