I don't know that the answer given here is in this instance correct. I have same on my ring and it is not white gold. Definitely not and yet G. W. 14k.

It doesn't mean white gold when there's also a 925. A have a Link chain and there's 925 I've not seen this link before either not in sterling anyway! But on the other end there's a GW. What does the GW stand for?
