Delicate Pink Cameo

I have an antique cameo that the seller told me was called something like a baby-skin cameo. It is very pale (compared to other cameos I have - white on pale pink), set in gold, and the woman depicted looks more Roman than Victorian/Edwardian.
Can you tell me anything about this?
