Fragonard Brooch

by G. Jennings
(florida USA)

this is a signed piece with a scene of a colonial man and women. The man is holding out one side of his red cape and he and the women are holding hands and appear to be standing in a garden.

The brooch is incased in a brass filgree with flowers on each corner with a blue stone in each. The top and bottom and sides have a fluer des lis on the encasement. The back of the encasement has some writing on it but I can't make it out- NY looks like some of it, I had no luck trying to take a picture just not clear enough. I am interested in its age and value.

thanks
