Georgian Aquamarine and Diamond Ring

by Jan

My husband bought me this ring for our wedding anniversary. I know the jeweller bought it at Hatton Garden in the UK and said it is french. I would like to know how I can go about finding a bit more information about its origin as it is so beautiful. I wonder about it constantly as I look at it and in particular how old it is and the women who have worn it.

What I know about it is:

It is an 18ct yellow gold and silver Georgian aquamarine and diamond dress ring. It is an oval mid-deep blue aquamarine measuring 12.2 x 8.8 x 6.0mm surrounded by 86 old rose cuts and 2 old round brilliant cut diamonds the leafy motif carved pierced shoulders in silver merging to a 18ct yellow gold carved shank. The aquamarine is 3.67ct and diamonds are 2 x 0.3ct and 86 = 0.92ct in total.
