It's certainly NOT British hallmarking. British would have town mark, date letter, etc.
This seems to be American 1940s-1960s costume/fine jewelry.
1.*F.S.* = Most likely *Foster & Sons* or *Fischer & Son* or *Foster Jewelry Co*.
There were several "F.S." makers in the US mid-century. They often made 14K rings with synthetic stones.
2.The symbols = Those are probably *import marks* or *alloy/finisher marks* used by US jobbers. The leaf/tree one often shows up on jewelry that had Asian components or was sold through catalogs.
3.*9.5mm Alexandrite* = Lisa you are right to be suspicious. Natural alexandrite that size in 14K would be $20k+. In a ring marked like this, it’s 99% synthetic/color-change corundum or a lab alexandrite. These stones were popular 1950s-70s.
Era guess from The Bench: 1950s - 1965. "F.S." + 14K + synthetic alexandrite was a catalog/ department store formula.
