835 Marking

I have an antique pendant that has the numbers 835 stamped on the back. Do you have any idea what that means?

I also have a, what I believe is, copper ring with opal settings. Inside the letters E.J.b. the text is fancy. would those be the designers initials?

How do you know if what you have is worth anything?
