Antique Pearl Collar

Hello, I have a pearl collar/choker necklace that has been in my family for ages. I believe it was purchased by family in the last quarter of the nineteenth century while traveling abroad but possibly even as late as the Paris Exposition in 1900?

I happened to take a few photos of it last week as I had it out of the safe for the first time in 30 or more years. I'm the last of my family now and have been wondering what an approximate value would be for this necklace? It is unusual in that it's entirely constructed on layers of fabric so as to not distract from the pearls themselves I should imagine..... Then again possibly it was just the fashion in that part of the Victorian Era!

Thank You,
S.M.
