Persian Bracelet
by: Anonymous

The marks on this bracelet are Persian. The one on the left says Mashad, which is a city in Iran, where it presumably was made. I can't quite read the writing on the right, but something like Briliani, which could be the name of the jeweller. The middle is in a calligraphy style, which isn't clear enough for me to make out in the picture.

Arabic hallmarks
by: Judith

The writing is definitely Arabic.

My 'expertise' is with These are definitely not Egyptian Marks. I do not see anything among the characters I recognise as a numeral. While the Middle East sets high standards for domestic gold items, expecting 18k & up, silver items such as this are routinely 800 silver, occasionally 900; 925/sterling has not been standard.
