The best thing to do Paul is look up the German maker in google it should bring up different types of designs I’ve a few different ones if you look at the back of them rather than just the front there should be some tell tale signs.

I also have a vintage round beaded brooch of good quality marked on back 59? Also cannot make this out originally I thought was a makers pat.number but not so sure now as your brooch is completely different in style.
