"The table of all the diamonds appear to be at the same height and even with the rim of white metal into which they are set. Can you confirm."

It looks as if that was the mission there are spots that raise above but that may be repair work added gold to secure. There is 1 stone that is about 1/3 larger than all of the rest but noticeable. I'm guessing that the previous owner lost a stone and it was replaced. It is the first stone to the right of the largest center.

The hallmark that appears to me to be glamour I did what you said and it looks as if when the person was stamping the hallmark they did it at an angle and the press was smudged. You could be right though. The "p" i thought was a lower case r if it was done slanted the "e" also looks like it's an "o" but done slanted. I have tried to search many different combinations.

I am intrigued by this ring. I was searching for a inexpensive diamond band at the pawn shop around the corner from my old work. i had just had weight loss surgery and was a 11.5 ring size so it was a temporary band for my wedding 2 weeks later. I spotted this ring and called my husband and told him I had to have it.

Tagged $290 the man sold it to me for $225. including retail tax. I don't know much about jewelry I have costume jewelry that I charrish like it's priceless. I didn't think it was an antique piece at all with the two of you agreeing that it seems to be antique I'm even more curious now to find out as much as I can, so I'm going to get it appraised asap.

Bead Set Melee Diamond Vintage Ring
by: Yvonne

Good Morning Laura!

I also agree, with anonymous, the ring is an example of unparagoned vintage beauty.

Laura, Beautific ring has French style about it, if you devote your eyes to the french Bead-set melee diamonds, and notice how the beads are spaced and sized that secure the diamonds. The table of all the diamonds appear to be at the same height and even with the rim of white metal into which they are set. Can you confirm.

Laura, could you have another look at the markings on the ring. First, give the band where the markings appear a clean with mild soapy water and cloth and then check the markings again under magnification under good light. The word does not look like "glamour" from my side of the computer screen. The third letter from the end looks more like a lower case "e". The last letter looks more like a "p".

Let us know your findings.

Best Wishes,

Yvonne
