Hallmarks and Measures Department in the Governorate of Cairo
by: Sara

Hi there. From what can make out the mark on the left is 12 kt written in Arabic, and the letter on right is "n" or ن in Arabic which probably dates it to Sep 1982. From the letters above the 12 kt mark I think it was hallmarked by the Hallmarks and Measures Department in the Governorate of Cairo مق (initials in Arabic) as far as my eyesight can make out. Hope helps.

Egyptian Jewelry Marks
by: Anonymous

Hi Gilly Im assuming this one is the gold colored Egyptian Cartouche. It looks to be Arabic writing in the first square. Do you know if the cartouche is gold or gold plated? It will help to shed some light on the other mark.

You can find info on Egyptian marks here.

best wishes,
Yvonne Hammouda-Eyre
