History of 1906 bracelet.

I'm writing a story for school in which I must travel back in time, discuss my time there, return, AND also bring back an artifact. I believe I want my artifact to be a bracelet that I own. It is a gold-plated, hinged bangle patented on June 26, 1906 and registered by H&H. My only dilemma is that I have to have either purchased the bracelet or been given this bracelet by someone in that time era. If I were living in 1906, where would I have purchased such a bracelet (what state, from where (jewelry shop?), etc.)? And what kind of people would have owned such a bracelet? Rich people? The common woman?
