horse cameo 1840's?

I recently added this piece to my collection of horse and riders in period clothing. It was advertised as follows:

In this scene, a beautiful lady is dressed in Victorian apparel with a hat, riding on her horse with two big dogs chasing around. The cameo is set in a decorative pinchbeck bezel. It has a bail, a C clasp and a long pin, indicating it is a very old piece. The size is unusually huge, measured around 3" x 2.5" (77mm x 63mm), not counting the length of the pin. Circa 1840s.

I was just wondering if anyone would have any additional knowledge that would confirm the date or who and where it might have been carved. Any sort of information to add to my knowledge would be very welcome.

Thank you.
