If you could take pictures it would help us a lot in determining age and value. Everything has a value to someone. If it is gold or silver the worth will be more then if it is not made from a precious metal. You can check for purity markings by looking on the inside of the ring for "14k" "10k" "24k" etc it may have foreign markings so I would suggest googling whatever you may find.
