Hi Yvonne...I figured out how to resize my pictures to under 1MB however I do believe the compression took away some details in the pictures but it will still give you an idea of what it looks like. I did look up the Pyrite you mentioned and it does look very similar. Since my initial post I have literally done sevral hours of research investigating the Hallmark stamp on this pendant. The closest I can come to finding anything even similar to it is a Hallmark of .835W+N. A similar Hallmark was found on 2 other piece of Jewelry I found and their information is as follows:

1) “(Art Nouveau Rhodium Plated German .835 Silver Panel Bracelets 1910-1920. Circa: Early 1910's "WW I era". The back is marked 835 W+N. To give you more information on the mark, technically, sterling is 925/1000 silver. 835 is 835/1000 silver, so it is still a silver alloy, most likely it makes it a vintage German piece. Which in this case you can be assured since its original box says, Filitz - Uhren/Schmuck/Bestecke. Hamburg Monckebergstr. 19.

Another piece I found:
2) “ANTIQUE VICTORIAN FILIGREE BROOCH MARKED "835" SILVER (A European silver standard dating back to the turn of the century. It is actually preferred by some artisans for being stronger and sturdier.)
HALLMARKED "W-N"

Not sure if or how any of this
correlates to my piece but I wanted to throw those out there for the best chances of understanding its heritage. I have not found any Jewelry maker of any kind named Filitz up to date or any mention of one online however there is a Jewelry/Watch Maker video (from Germany) on YouTube that is under a derivative listing of a German Jewelry/Watch Maker company called “Uhren, Schmuck, Trauringe, Brillianten, Bestecke, - IWC, Omega, Solingen, Juwelier NRW”. This video was showing some of its collection and has the original company names of “Uhren/Schmuck/Bestecke” (not Filitz, and the names Trauringe & Brillianten have been added) concerning the #1 Art Nouveau piece I mentioned above. Not sure if this is even the company that made it or the Hallmarks or the same or close enough to BE the same. Hope this helps some. I am dreading a call to this company in Germany because my German is not fluent…but if you think it’s a good start I can call and maybe email them a picture to identify it to see if they made it? How does that work? It’s not a particularly beautiful piece or even expensive for that matter - but means a lot to me to know everything I can about it…and to eventually pass it on to my daughter. 
Thank you Yvonne for your time.
