Oh how beautiful! I think they were also called "stomachers" in England, and were popular in the Edwardian era. Some were later rhodium plated (1930s) to imitate platinum. Regards

In the meantime, I know something more about this pendant. It is a so-called Pendant à la Jeanette and from French or Belgian origin. Made of solid 18 carat gold with silver highlights and set with tiny rose cut diamonds and three table cut diamonds. The upper part with fittings to the back for a ribbon or similar.
