Family Seal Signet Ring
by: Anonymous

Could it be some kind of family seal? or perhaps a secret society symbol?
Bloodstone or Heliotrope is an ancient stone. It's a dark green color flecked with crimson red that the ancients thought were drops of blood, hence the name. Magical powers were ascribed to this stone. If jewelry contains bloodstone it is usually antique.

The Eternal Return - Oroborus Dragon
by: Sonia D

Uhmmmm..... that's a very interesting ring which appears to be fully hallmarked. The dragon intaglio reminded me of the Ouroboros or Uroborus which is an ancient symbol of a dragon eating its own tail. The fish, is hard to see, are you sure it's a fish or is it a dragon eating its tail.

The Ouroboros often represents constancy, of something re-creating itself, the eternal return.

The Ouroboros dragon has been important in religious and mythological symbolism.

The material looks like bloodstone which is in keeping with this type of ring.
