Appraisal Value and Selling
by: Anonymous

Hi Liz

You need to get the ring valued first. Anton Nash LLC Independent Jewelry Appraisers have been in business since 1998, and serves the Colorado Springs area. We are not affiliated in any way with this group, they are not a sponsor of this website, but they do seem to have the necessary GIA accreditation and I think they are in your area. Here is a link:

You can't get a gemstone ring appraised on-line or if you do, the appraisal isn't worth much. Get the ring appraised in-store first.

The value will largely be dependent on the quality (and size) of the gemstone, and the goldsmith's art, the rarity factor and the condition.

Once you have the appraisal value, then you can work out your own selling price. There is a little formula for this, but it really does depend ultimately on how keen you are to sell.

What color is the topaz? FYI we offer sponsorship advertising for PRIVATE sellers. Depending on your advertising budget this can be linked to a full page review. Read More about Sponsorship Advertising Here...simply Tick the Private Sponsorship Box for more information.
