What happened was the Top to the Serif T was cut off.

I've never heard of a misprint, but it can happen, because a friend of mine had an old Gretsch guitar where the name was spelled wrong. Back in the day some of that stuff, like making the punches, was done by hand, and mistakes could happen. It could also be a fake where somebody made a mistake. Seems pretty cool to me!
