Two inward pointing arrows - Hallmark on ring by: Yvonne
Maharba,
thank you for reaching out Sue, I am so glad you found us!
As you mention in your message, the neat ring you acquired looks to be an Antique, it’s interesting to note Sue, the maker’s mark used by Ostby & Barton Co.(often pieces are stamped O-B or OB) features an eagle's head or an anchor flanked by two inward-pointing arrows. Founded in 1879 in Providence, Rhode Island, this famous jewelry firm specialized in gold rings. Of historical significance, is the fact that one of the Ostby & Barton founders, Engelhart Cornelius Ostby, tragically perished aboard the Titanic in 1912.
