What Period? Antique Diamond Ring

I found a 14k diamond ring that I believe belonged to either my grandmother or great grandmother. I have not been able to find anything like it. I personally don't think it is a pretty ring but if the diamonds are geniune I am considering putting them into a new setting.

My question is can I take a picture of this ring and find out more about it or find rings similar in style? There were no papers with it. All my descendants are gone and I would like to know what time period this ring was made in.

It has 14k inside the ring and the center diamond has a enclosed setting so I can not see the bottom of the diamond. Just curious if there is reference material available to research this ring? I don't have a picture yet but will send one if you think you might be able to help me.
