Woman pouring water from a vase - cameo antique cameo or not?

I found my silver cameo ring at a swapmeet. Obviously the seller didn't know its value - it says wedgwood on the back and has a symbol below the name that I can't make out. It's sort of a navy blue with a women pouring rom a vase and a large bird (hawklike) standing next too her. How can I tell if it's an antique cameo or a newer version?
