Signature Features of Edwardian Jewelry
by: Yvonne

I think whoever examined your ring could be right...
however it could be diagnostic to magnify the marks under a strong hand lens or jewelers loupe.

Signature Features of the Edwardian era of 1910- 1919 in which, at the crack of doom on April 15, 1912 the Titanic ship came to its better end, are the following:

1. Platinum and white gold in "invisible" or miilegrain setting.

2. Light decorative jewelry matched the fashions at the time.

3. Rococco revival/garland style, decorative effects such as bows, tassels, stars, wreaths and floral garlands.

4. Diamonds and Pearls and rings including engagement rings set with a single diamond (often European cut) in white gold
were all signature features.

Warm Wishes,
Yvonne
