Cameo Pendant Information

I just purchased a large cameo, approximately 2 x 2 1/2"

It features a male head, side profile; eyes closed head of short hair, beard no mustache. Head with halo bent over a cross. Across the bottom are roses.

The overall shape is oval top/ flat bottom.

The bezel is 800 silver. It is a pendant, not a pin.

On the bottom left, the piece is signed with a P.I. or P.J.

Can you tell me who this artist is or anything on the subject matter? Where has it originated from? Its possible age?
